Nestling among the rolling green hills of Antigua’s north-eastern coast, with breathtaking views over half a kilometre of white sand and bright blue waters, the location of this all-inclusive resort is simply stunning.

Rooms are of a good size, and although basic, they’re clean and comfortable, and come with a private bathroom, air-conditioning, colour TV, telephone and tea and coffee making machines as standard.

When your stomach starts to rumble, choose from both local and international cuisine, with buffet and à la carte options. The food standard is basic but there’s plenty of choice and unlimited drinks (both soft and alcoholic) are included.

By day, relax at one of the two swimming pools (one is adults only) or get energetic with a choice of water-sports: you can snorkel in the nearby reefs which can be reached from the hotel’s shoreline. Beach towels and sunbeds are provided. There’s great entertainment every night, too – usually a live band – followed by a disco from 11pm-1.30am.

The Grand Pineapple is also home to The Outhouse, a ramshackle bar perched on the hillside, serving ice-cold beers and Miss Mary’s legendary BBQ ribs. Don’t miss it!
