Even the location of Champneys Forest Mere makes tense shoulders relax…and that’s before you set a foot inside the door! Set in a clearing amidst swathes of gorgeous woodland and a natural lake, the resort was once a hunting lodge and has lost none of its grandeur, although the warm welcome from friendly staff members means you’ll feel perfectly at home right from the start.
Standard rooms are basic; premier rooms are more comfortable with mellow, country-style furnishings, but if you’re a dedicated spa-bunny your room may be the place that you spend least time. Treatment menus are vast and exciting: whether you want to firm up, slim down or just be pampered, there’s something for you.

Even if you’re on a budget, you won’t miss out as all packages include use of the 25m indoor pool, heated outdoor pool, a large fitness suite, sauna, jacuzzi, plunge pool and steam room. And if that doesn’t keep you busy, you can also join in with fitness activities throughout the day!

When you’ve worked up an appetite, choose from one of the three dining rooms, where the wide choice of food is healthy but still tasty. You might even find yourself rubbing shoulders with celebrity clients such as the Beckhams, Katie Price or Joan Collins.
