Combining the convenience of a central London location with panoramic views across the River Thames, Swissôtel The Howard is just a stone’s throw from the London Eye, the Oxo Tower and Big Ben.
Simple but well equipped, the décor is stylishly low-key: rooms are of an average size but have everything you’ll need for a short break, including a Lavazza coffee machine and Swiss Spa toiletries. If you’re feeling flush, upgrade to a Grand Room – you’ll get extra space and comfort with glorious views over the Thames.
Sip a pre-dinner drink in the peaceful atmosphere of the Temple Bar, or sample the cuisine at the in-house restaurant, 12, Temple Place, which offers traditional and modern British cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. The hotel's service can be mixed, but in the restaurant it shines, and the delicious tasting menus work fabulously with the suggested wines, making the restaurant well worth a visit.
