Right in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the ‘W’ hotel has a bustling, city vibe, but although it’s busy, it’s a great place to be, with the Museum of Modern Art and Moscone Convention Center just moments away.

Rooms have a vibrant, modern feel – stylish but snug, with a great range of in-room facilities: plasma screen TVs and iPod docking stations come as standard and the beds are so comfortable, you‘ll be reluctant to leave them in the morning. If you’re after something special to fill your belly, then the XYZ restaurant won’t disappoint you: zingingly fresh ingredients and a reputation for lip-smacking cuisine make this an experience not to be missed.

With a spa, two bar areas and a complimentary hotel car (time and distance restrictions apply), the ‘W’ is definitely more than worthy of a visit, although the service at this hotel was slightly lacking in comparison to the ‘W’ brand standard. Overall, though, a stylish, modern and well-appointed hotel.
