Part of the Hyatt hotel chain, and just minutes from Liverpool Street Station, the elegant red brick of this Victorian building gives little clue of what awaits you inside: high ceilings and lavish décor combine with great, unpretentious service and well-spaced tables to create an relaxing atmosphere – all under an imposing, domed atrium made of stained glass.
The food is equally impressive, although very rich. With a blend of traditional and modern cuisine, you can choose from well-loved favourites, or opt for something wild and unusual.
Presentation is stunning, both on the plate and on the two huge tables displaying fresh produce and cheese and wine. The wine list is extraordinary, and seemingly infinite, so don’t hesitate to take expert advice from the friendly and helpful sommelier.
