Situated directly opposite Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, just moments away from Victoria tube station and within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, The Rubens at The Palace is full of regal charm, combining extravagant décor with top-notch service and a sophisticated atmosphere.
Rooms are of a good standard, but it’s at mealtimes that The Rubens earns every one of its 4 stars: you’ll be spoiled for choice at breakfast, with the buffet’s mind-boggling array of options. At lunch or dinner, don’t miss the award-winning Library Restaurant, where you can enjoy English and international dishes in a traditional setting. Old Masters Restaurant is also worth a visit.
And if you’re a fan of tradition, don’t miss afternoon tea, served in the Palace Lounge, overlooking the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. A three-tier, lip-smacking delight of freshly baked scones, scrumptious cakes and delicate sandwiches, you’ll find no better way to indulge yourself.
The Cavalry Bar is warm and welcoming with extremely helpful staff, and the safari-style setting of the Leopard Champagne Bar makes it a great place to relax. Again, service is exemplary, and smiley Said will be happy to help you choose from the extensive selection of champagnes on offer.
